Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Ammon, Idaho, is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener. You will be responsible for screening donors, performing phlebotomy, and ensuring donor and team safety.

About the Role

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a plasma donor screener while performing phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.

Responsibilities
  • Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and team safety.
  • Screen new and repeat donors, take and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
  • Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Capacity to lift to 5 lb.; occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lb. and rarely 50 lb.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.
  • One or more years minimum experience in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful.

Compensation

U.S. Start Hourly Wage: $16.00. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
