BioLife Plasma Services in Wisconsin (Sheboygan) is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, and handle medical/technical guidance under center physicians.

The role requires RN/NP/PA licensure, CPR/AED certification, IV therapy capability, and at least two years of clinical experience. Sign-on bonus available and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN, NP or PA.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, and blood testing.
• Review donor SPE results and manage donor reactions per SOPs and center physician orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical/technical issues, donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS for follow-up.
• Possible Pandemic Coordinator duties as authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
