Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently licensed or certified as RN/NP/PA in the state of responsibility.
• CPR with AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility incl. informed consent, education, history interview, and physical exam.
• Review laboratory results and donor test outcomes.
• Assess donor adverse events and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results.
• Support Center Physician and Center Manager in medical issues and guidance.
• Assist with Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs.
