BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Lubbock, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, review lab results, and communicate test outcomes to donors.

This role works under the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring safety and compliance in a plasma center. You must be an RN/NP/PA with current CPR/AED, IV therapy readiness, and a clinical background.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN, NP or PA.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• You will determine donor eligibility; proper informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review.
• You will evaluate donor reaction(s) and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues and donor safety.
• You will support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• You will manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and EHS as needed.
• You may act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
