Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state licensure requirements.
• Current LPN or LVN license in the state of assignment.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-mandated BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance.
• Pandemic coordination when authorized and assist investigations as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
