Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and donor care. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings under physician guidance.

The role requires state licensure as EMT-Paramedic or equivalent nursing credential, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as EMT-Paramedic or equivalent nursing licensure.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Ability to perform basic IV therapy as per state requirements.
• At least two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history, physical exam and blood testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with occupational health/EHS guidance.
