Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Springfield, MO seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.

You will work under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards and supporting health programs as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic in the relevant state.
• CPR and AED certification current.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history, physical examination, and review SPE results.
• Manage donor adverse events and medical emergencies following SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health initiatives.
• Assist EHS with incident investigations when needed.
