Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Temple, TX seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, review test results, and support environmental health and safety initiatives in a fast-paced plasma collection center.

The role emphasizes accurate donor screening, adherence to SOPs, and coordination with the Center Manager and Center Physician. Prior clinical exposure is preferred, with a sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Essential: Graduate of a recognized educational program.
• Desired: Bachelor’s Degree, 2+ years in clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate and manage donor reactions according to SOPs and arrange donor transport for emergencies.
• Review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results per SOPs.
• Assist EHS program and vaccination programs as needed.
• Greet donors, record vital signs, and enter information into the DIS.
