Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Indiana is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support daily plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and inform donors of unsuitable findings.

You report to the Center Manager and work under the Center Physician for medical issues. You should be familiar with plasma collection regulations and provide center-level EH&S support, with responsibilities in CPR/AED certified nursing

Qualifications

• Current RN/NP/PA license in the applicable state.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• State requirements for basic IV therapy fulfilled.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility based on medical history, tests, and consent.
• Manage donor adverse events and follow SOPs for emergencies.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and participate in EHS guidance.
• Assist in occupational health matters and incident assessment.
