Job summary

Works under Center Manager guidance, aligning with regulatory requirements and BioLife Medical Affairs.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to SOPs, and collaboration with Center Physicians to ensure high-quality plasma collection operations

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified as RN, NP or PA in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience preferred.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist must be completed.
• High school diploma or equivalent and nursing program completion as required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview and examination, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unresolved medical/technical issues or donor safety.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and escalate as needed; may act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
