Qualifications

• Must hold current LPN or LVN license in the state of responsibilities.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements.
• Review donor laboratory results and manage donor adverse events per SOPs.
• Assess donor reactions and coordinate with Center Physician for medical guidance.
• Support donor safety and adherence to EHS guidelines and center standing orders.
• Assist with vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
