Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda company, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor screening, testing review, and center operations. You will ensure donor safety, perform medical evaluations, and coordinate with the Center Physician.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; LPN/LVN license in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, history, exam, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
