Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support daily plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review tests, manage adverse events, and notify donors of outcomes under physician guidance.

Supported by the Center Manager and BioLife Medical Affairs, you will ensure regulatory compliance and participant safety while contributing to a high-quality donor experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• LPN or LVN licensure in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfills state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion.
• Assess donor safety and react to adverse events per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and communicate donor suitability decisions.
• Provide center level support on environmental, health and safety matters.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
