Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, part of Takeda, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support operations in Attleboro, MA. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results under Center Manager guidance.

This role requires LPN/LVN licensure, CPR/AED, basic IV therapy qualifications, and at least two years in a clinical setting. Vaccination programs and EHS duties are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include graduate nursing program with state requirements.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved training completed for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage worker incidents and liaise with EHS for investigations.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist with related investigations.
