Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Webster, Texas, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician. You will ensure donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings.

Must be an RN/NP/PA licensed in the relevant state with CPR/AED certification and basic IV therapy training.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse with state requirements.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• IV therapy training per state requirements.
• FDA-mandated BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, conduct medical history, consent, and screening.
• Manage donor adverse events and emergency procedures per SOPs.
• Review lab results and communicate unsuitable results to donors.
• Provide center-level medical guidance to staff and refer to Center Physician.
• Support vaccination programs and incident/occupational health processes.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist EHS investigations.
