Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Webster, TX seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests under guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You must be a licensed RN/NP/PA in the state, CPR/AED certified, and have at least two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of responsibility: RN, NP, or PA.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training as BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Handle employee incidents with EHS guidance and investigations as needed.
