Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Austin, TX is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review SPE results, and notify donors of test outcomes under physician oversight.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified as LPN or LVN in the practice state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Ability to perform basic IV therapy per state requirements.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and obtain informed consent.
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory results.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results and coordinate care.
• Support vaccination programs and safety initiatives for staff.
• Assist Center Physician with medical guidance and emergencies.
