BioLife Plasma Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under physician guidance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or nursing program equivalent with state licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, FDA training, and at least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program with state requirements.
• Current LPN/LVN license in the state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years clinical or hospital experience.

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, education, self-exclusion, medical history, and screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and perform emergency guidance and transport as needed.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and participate in pandemic investigations when authorized.
