Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in the United States seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to ensure donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings under physician guidance.

The role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting. Training and EHS-aligned safety programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state license as LPN/LVN.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, education, self‑exclusion, medical history, examination, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and arrange evaluation as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
