Zusammenfassung

BioLife Plasma Services in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support center operations and donor care. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable outcomes.

Under the Center Manager and Center Physician, you will follow SOPs, support vaccination programs, and participate in safety and EHS activities, contributing to high-quality patient-focused plasma collection.

Qualifikationen

• Must be currently licensed as RN, NP, or PA in the responsible state.
• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.
• Ability to determine donor eligibility and manage donor safety and adverse events.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs; escalate to Center Physician as needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for investigations and remediation.
