Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Billings, MT. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, manage adverse events, and support center operations under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Requires EMT-Paramedic license, CPR/AED, IV therapy capability, and two years of clinical experience; hospital setting preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and consent, medical history interview, and review SPE.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for issues or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Potentially serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
