Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state nursing program requirements.
• Currently licensed/certified in the state of responsibilities (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate emergencies with Center Physician/Medical Affairs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
