Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a nursing program.
• State licensure/certification as EMT-Paramedic is required.
• CPR and AED certification must be current.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements where licensed.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training and have 2 years clinical hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, exams and test review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs and center orders.
• Refer issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance and safety concerns.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance for further evaluation as needed.
