Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Pensacola, FL. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings, all under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires state licensure in an EMT/PN/RN category, CPR/AED certification, and prior clinical experience.

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of donor eligibility processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, exam, tests, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and arrange emergency transport when needed.
• Refer complex medical findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS; may act as Pandemic Coordinator as allowed.
