BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable outcomes. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring adherence to plasma collection regulations.

Qualifications include state licensure as EMT/LPN/RN, CPR/AED, and FDA training, with at least two years in clinical or hospital settings. This role emphasizes patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• State-licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities (EMT, LPN/LVN or RN).
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Familiar with plasma collection regulations or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations.
