BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations, reporting to the Center Manager. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor adverse events, and coordinate with the Center Physician for medical issues.

You will support EHS programs and vaccination initiatives for employees. Requires state licensure (EMT/PN/RN), CPR/AED, basic IV therapy, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P; LPN/LVN; RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Mansioni

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions as per SOPs and manage medical emergencies with standing orders and donor transport to care facilities.
• Refer medical or technical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as applicable.

Formazione
