Job summary

ATI is hiring a Plasma Arc Melter at our Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. As a Melter, you will operate a plasma melt furnace, maintain logs, and perform routine maintenance while rotating to the production floor.

The role requires a high level of safety awareness and physical capability to handle demanding tasks. You will join a team focused on reliability and process efficiency, with opportunities to advance after a minimum two-year tenure in the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• At least 1 year of maintenance or diesel background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vacuum, positive pressure plasma arc furnace, and start cycle gas system.
• Perform all operating and safety checks.
• Continuously monitor controls and gauges during operation.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and charts.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
