Job summary

Xylem in Uniontown, PA seeks a skilled maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and support installations and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial or manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with electrical meters (VOM) for diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical information, equipment documentation, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work 3rd shift and meet attendance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and power-transmission systems.
• Diagnose equipment problems using gauges, meters, and testing instruments.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
• Plan and support installation of new production equipment and upgrades.
• Maintain facility mechanical systems and coordinate with vendors.
• Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs and data.
• Provide work direction to one or two employees as needed.
