Job summary

Enviva is seeking a Utility Operator to oversee continuous plant operation, safety, equipment use, monitoring, setup and cleaning. The role includes operating skid steers, forklifts, lull and front-end loaders, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and supporting emissions and environmental systems.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to work in a hot, noisy industrial environment on a 12-hour rotating shift. Benefits and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment experience and safe operation required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work with little supervision.
• Must meet safety rules and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment including skid steer, forklift, lull, and front-end loaders.
• Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance to keep it in good working order.
• Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of dryers, furnaces, emissions, and environmental equipment.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks and carry out other duties as assigned.
