Job summary

Antora Energy is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and control thermal energy storage and boiler systems at our Big Stone City site in South Dakota. You will support installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations, collaborating with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to safely build and run first-of-a-kind industrial installations of our thermal battery.

You will apply hands-on skills with boilers, generators, and control systems, uphold strict safety standards, and help

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operations experience in plant environments.
• Familiarity with control systems (DCS/SCADA/PLCs).
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Experience with test equipment and calibration tools.
• Understanding of energy storage processes like boilers and steam systems.
• Ability to inspect, start/stop systems, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers, generators, control systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Problem-solve complex technical issues with minimal oversight.
• Prioritize tasks within a trade or functional area.
• Review and validate others' work to uphold standards.
• Follow lockout/tagout, hot work, HA, confined space procedures.
• Mentor and train team members on complex processes.
• Create SOPs to improve operations and maintenance.
• Perform hands-on diagnostics and rebuild large machinery.
• Maintain high safety and regulatory compliance.
