Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a warehouse supervisor to lead daily operations on the floor around heavy machinery. You will coach staff, manage priorities, and ensure safety, quality, and timely execution of production and distribution tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, basic computer skills, forklift/warehouse experience, and proven leadership. Preferred: bachelor’s degree, 2–3 years supervisory experience, knowledge of metals handling, and ISO/lean exposure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
• Ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
• Knowledge of metals handled; preferred.
• First aid/CPR training; preferred.
• Exposure to safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices; preferred.
• Safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Meet production and distribution objectives and deadlines within budget.
• Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate, assign, and review work on the floor.
• Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
• Ensure safety training, procedures, and compliance for all team members.
• Maintain timely communications with internal/external customers and suppliers.
• Maintain records and perform admin duties as required.
• Report accidents or incidents to the Operations Manager within 24 hours.
• Monitor working conditions and take corrective action as needed.
• Apply problem-solving techniques (8D; 5 Why; Kaizen) to resolve issues.
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations/Plant Manager.
• Role works on warehouse floor near heavy machinery.
• Meet TK Employee Attributes / Competencies.
