We are partnering with a well-established global industrial manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Plant Superintendent for its Concord, New Hampshire operation.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Lead, manage, and direct the activities of manufacturing personnel across the plant.
  • Own production scheduling and ensure manufacturing activities align with customer delivery requirements.
  • Communicate production schedules, capacity, and current lead times with customer-facing teams.
  • Help lead the hiring, development, evaluation, and cross-training of direct labor employees.
  • Partner with area managers to ensure employees are effectively trained, evaluated, and utilized.
  • Drive plant performance around safety, quality, productivity, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain responsibility for overall quality and cost performance of serviced/manufactured rolls.
  • Ensure products and processes meet applicable SPI and industry standards.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), ISO, and related methodologies.
  • Oversee assigned capital projects and plant improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to identify operational issues, establish priorities, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with other company manufacturing facilities to improve plant efficiency and share operational best practices.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites and other company facilities as business needs require.
What We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will bring approximately 8–10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, ideally within pulp & paper or a related industrial manufacturing environment, along with demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Proven experience leading manufacturing employees in a plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations, scheduling, quality, cost control, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience implementing or participating in LEAN and continuous improvement programs.
  • The ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
A bit about us

This opportunity is an opportunity to step into a highly visible operational leadership role with a large, established global industrial organization. You'll have meaningful ownership over plant performance while working directly with plant leadership to improve production, quality, workforce capabilities, and operational efficiency.

For someone coming from pulp & paper, roll services, converting, paper manufacturing, or another demanding industrial manufacturing operation, this could be an excellent opportunity to bring your experience into a leadership position with significant influence over the day-to-day success of the facility.

That being said, this candidate does NOT need to come from Pulp & Paper, as our client loves to consider candidates outside the industry as it brings fresh, unique ideas to the organization!
