Job summary

Tyson Foods in Enid, OK is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the plant's local safety strategy and drive continuous improvement. You will work with the Plant Management Team to ensure a safe, compliant operation aligned with Tyson Foods' Safety Management system and OSHA regulations.

The role involves developing and implementing safety programs, training staff, and promoting a culture of health and safety throughout the facility. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field or equivalent combination preferred.
• 3+ years in environmental safety and sustainability management, with OSHA knowledge and safety training methods.
• Understanding of PSM/RMP and regulatory compliance practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to read and interpret regulations.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and drive a proactive local safety strategy for a safe plant.
• Support site management with OSHA compliance and ergonomic programs.
• Inspect operations to ensure OSHA standards; maintain required records.
• Investigate safety incidents and complete required reporting.
• Conduct safety training on ergonomics, lockout/tag out, hazard communication, and PPE.
