Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety Leader to drive the plant's safety continuous improvement efforts as part of the Plant Management Team. You will guide site management on the Safety Management System and lead proactive strategies to reduce health hazards and improve operational safety.

Responsibilities include developing safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance, inspecting equipment and facilities, training staff, and acting as a change agent to spread best practices across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or Industrial Technology, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in environment safety and sustainability management.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard communications, accident investigation and safety training methods.
• Knowledge of best practice regarding safety and environmental approaches with PSM, RMP.
• Travel: 1-5 trips per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant safety continuous improvement and provide strategic direction.
• Develop proactive local safety strategy to drive sustainable health and safety.
• Advise site management on Safety Management System implementations.
• Oversee OSHA compliance and ergonomic programs.
• Inspect equipment and working conditions for regulatory compliance.
• Act as change agent to accelerate best practice sharing across the facility.
