Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead and support plant safety initiatives across operations. The role focuses on training, hazard communication, and driving a culture of safety, working closely with site leadership to protect associates and improve operational performance.

The position involves daily JSA audits, safety training, incident review, and collaboration with the S&S Manager to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions across both day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field.
• Preferred Safety professional certification or 2–5 years of manufacturing safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job training and follow-up on hazardous communication, safety, ergonomics, and other subjects with associates.
• Educate facility leadership on safety principles and provide guidance on safety initiatives.
• Conduct daily JSA audits and report findings with corrective actions and retraining as needed.
• Assist Safety & Security Manager in interviewing associates and gathering incident information for root cause analysis.
• Attend safety-related meetings and provide safety perspectives to drive compliance and culture of safety.
