Job summary

Tyson Foods in Alexandria, Kentucky, is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the plant's safety strategy and continuous improvement efforts. You will advise site management on the Safety Management System and drive initiatives to create a healthier, safer work environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in environmental safety, strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, and the ability to train teams in hazard recognition, emergency response, and ergonomic practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management Engineering, or Industrial Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental safety and sustainability management.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety training methods.
• Experience with safety practices including PSM/RMP.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety strategy and drive continuous improvement at the plant.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and oversee safety inspections and reporting.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs (ergonomics, hazard communication, lockout/tagout).
• Investigate safety incidents and coordinate with risk management and insurance as needed.
