Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Complex Safety Manager to provide safety leadership and strategic direction across the Wilkesboro complex.

You will partner with site management to drive continuous safety improvements, develop a proactive safety strategy, and foster a strong safety culture that aligns with Tyson Foods’ policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires directing safety programs, leading OSHA compliance efforts, and facilitating training and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in general safety with 3+ years in progressive safety roles.
• Ability to travel up to 40% and manage field safety activities.

Responsibilities

• Directs the safety programs for the site.
• Lead OSHA compliance and ergonomic program initiatives.
• Inspect equipment and working conditions for OSHA compliance.
• Maintain OSHA files and support documents; accompany inspectors.
• Analyze accident statistics and implement preventive measures.
• Train staff on safety policies, procedures and PPE usage.
