Job summary

The Complex Safety Manager at Tyson Foods provides strategic leadership for health and safety programs across processing and live operations. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, this role drives a proactive safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and leads continuous improvement efforts to reduce risk, prevent injuries, and promote employee well-being.

The position serves as the site's primary health and safety representative and partners with leaders to implement best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• 3+ years of progressive safety leadership experience.
• Experience with OSHA compliance and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs and initiatives for the complex.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to policies and local regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, implementing actions.
• Analyze safety metrics to identify improvements.
• Investigate incidents and develop preventive actions.
• Maintain OSHA records and compliance documentation.
• Lead training programs (LOTO, HazCom, PPE, Ergonomics, Emergency Response).
• Partner with operations to drive engagement and safety culture.
