Ferriot Inc. in Akron, OH seeks a Plant Reliability Engineer to improve uptime of manufacturing equipment, plant utilities, and facility assets.

The role leads troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and preventive maintenance programs to enhance reliability and efficiency across the facility. Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Quality, you will drive continuous improvements, manage maintenance standards, and train technicians in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum 3–5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance or reliability.
Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
Experience with PLCs, industrial controls, drives, sensors, and automation systems.
Experience with preventive maintenance systems ERP software.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced troubleshooting for equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
Lead root cause analysis for downtime and reliability issues.
Develop corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
Support equipment startups and major maintenance activities.
Serve as technical resource for complex maintenance issues.
Own and improve the PM program.
Develop maintenance procedures and equipment standards.
Analyze downtime and performance data to identify improvements.
Assist with spare parts planning and critical asset management.
Provide coaching and training to maintenance staff.
