Job summary

Koppers Inc. is seeking a maintenance engineering professional in Millington, TN to enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of plant equipment.

You will work with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering to troubleshoot issues, improve PM/PdM programs, and lead RCFA efforts to prevent recurrence. The role focuses on equipment reliability, mechanical integrity, and supporting capital projects under $300,000, with opportunities to upgrade systems and participate in start-up

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering.
• Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 10 years in industrial maintenance or reliability experience.
• Chemical manufacturing, heavy industrial, or process manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong commitment to Zero Harm safety policies and procedures.
• Experience supporting maintenance engineering, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and repair activities in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance engineering support to improve reliability, availability, safety, and performance of plant equipment and maintenance programs.
• Lead RCFA for significant or repetitive equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, monitor, and improve PM and PdM practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Support mechanical integrity activities, inspections, repairs, and documentation for continued safe operation.
• Coordinate with divisions to share maintenance practices and align reliability standards.
