Job summary

Casper's Ice Cream in Utah is seeking a Plant Engineer to build and lead a world-class maintenance, facilities, engineering, and capital-project organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• PE certification or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
• 7-10+ years of progressive maintenance/engineering leadership in manufacturing.
• Dairy, ice cream, refrigerated, or frozen-food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience leading maintenance and reliability organizations.
• Experience managing significant capital projects from justification to commissioning.
• Experience managing departmental and/or capital budgets.

Responsibilities

• Build and own a comprehensive PM/PdM program covering production, packaging, refrigeration, and other critical plant equipment.
• Implement, optimize, and maintain the plant's CMMS to schedule work, track asset history, and manage spare parts.
• Develop maintenance staffing and coverage for a multi-shift operation.
• Lead root-cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Drive automation opportunities to improve capacity, reliability, and labor productivity.
• Lead capital projects from validation through commissioning and ROI reviews.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Food Safety to meet operations and sanitary design requirements.
