Job summary

Adler Pelzer Group is seeking a Plant Quality Engineer for its Port Huron, Michigan facility to support manufacturing operations and quality processes for acoustic automotive parts. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and participation in product development to ensure customer satisfaction.

The position reports to the quality manager and involves maintaining the quality system, documentation, and liaison with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Leadership, organizational and communication abilities.
  • Hands-on engineering experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in quality systems in automotive manufacturing is a plus.
  • Education can be substituted with equivalent experience.
  • Licenses & Certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System.
  • Liaises with customers and suppliers for plant quality activities.
  • Maintains quality assurance standards and procedures to meet customer demands.
  • Participates in the Product Development Process to meet Customer requirements.
  • Responsible for quality documentation (Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAP, etc.).

Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a motivated and committedPlant Quality Engineer to join the manufacturing operations in Port Huron, Michigan.

The ideal candidate will have strong personal leadership, vision, organizational and communication abilities, technical and mechanical background as well. This is a hands‑on, involved engineer role for someone looking for an opportunity to make a tangible impact in the manufacturing operations and engineering of acoustic parts for major OEMs.

The Plant Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager in ensuring quality standards are met during the manufacturing process of acoustic automotive parts.

The following are the major duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversees the implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System.
  • Customer and Supplier liaison for plant quality activities and concerns.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards and procedures to meet customer demands.
  • Participate in the Product Development Process (PDP) to ensure Customer requirements are met.
  • Responsible for Quality documentation, including but not limited to Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAP, etc.

Note: This section is not inclusive. Other duties are assigned as necessary to support team goals.

Competitive pay and benefits package. The range for the position is $68,000 to $83,000. Specific salary is commensurate with relevant experience and factors such as education, certifications and licenses, skills, and training.
