Job summary

Ingevity Wickliffe is seeking a Production Supervisor to ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally sound plant operations. You will lead operators, coordinate area activities, and drive production goals while upholding SHE standards.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, coaching, and collaboration with engineers to implement continuous improvements. A strong background in engineering manufacturing and union-site experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline is required.
• Minimum 5–10 years of production or equivalent industrial manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience or managing hourly/salaried staff.
• Experience in training and/or leading others.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and at all levels.
• Active safety leadership to maintain a strong safety culture and zero incidents.
• Relocation is available for this position.
• This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead operators and other team members to reach key performance metrics and remedy deviations.
• Manage and direct Area Supervisors and hourly employees.
• Provide safety leadership for your area including remedying problems quickly and performing routine safety inspections.
• Collaborate with Production Engineers and partners to implement improvements to drive plant success.
• Identify, troubleshoot and prescribe innovative solutions to complex operational issues.
• Review process trends, quality data, and environmental data.
• Routinely observe employee performance in the area for safety and procedural compliance.
• Assist with plant outage planning and execution as needed.
