Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to lead and direct production activities across shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective output of high-quality PET bottles and preforms.

The role supervises production supervisors, team leaders, and hourly staff while driving continuous improvement and employee development. You will partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and HR to optimize operations, manage labor and expenditures, and coordinate material flow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading production operations in a high-volume, fast-paced facility.
• Strong knowledge of production systems, continuous improvement, and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Experience in plastics, packaging, blow molding, injection molding, or related processes preferred.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to other facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations across departments and shifts to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Coach and develop supervisors, team leaders, and hourly staff to build a high-performing workforce.
• Monitor metrics like safety, quality, productivity, and downtime to drive improvements.
• Foster accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement culture.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, environmental requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for safety, quality, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to optimize performance and development.
• Coordinate production scheduling and material flow with other facilities to optimize service.
• Drive Lean, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives to lower costs.
• Oversee labor resources, staffing, and departmental expenditures to meet financial targets.
