Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Plant Production Manager to oversee daily plant operations, including ordering, processing, packaging, sanitation and shipping, and to support the Plant Manager.

The role requires a 4-year degree, 6–8 years of manufacturing experience with at least 3 years as a supervisor, plus strong leadership and regulatory compliance knowledge. We offer competitive wages, benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in a related field; experience may substitute.
• 6–8 years in manufacturing/operations; min 3 years as Production Supervisor.
• Dairy experience preferred; other food manufacturing considered.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership for plant personnel.
• Ensure adherence to Safeway policies, practices, and procedures.
• Develop a work environment that promotes trust, teamwork, quality and safety.
• Assign accountability, build teams, hire, develop, evaluate and train.
• Handle union grievances and support negotiations.
• Communicate with employees and Plant Manager in writing and orally.
• Use analytical tools to create customized category insights.
• Develop and monitor plant goals and action plans.
• Assist Plant Manager in improving operations to reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Implement Lean principles and new technologies to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with regulations.
