Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to oversee plant manufacturing operations, coordinate schedules, and drive cost and productivity objectives.

The role requires coordinating with multiple departments to forecast inventory and ensure efficient resource use. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of production supervisory experience and strong MS Office skills, with familiarity of UFP’s organization and product lines preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as production supervisor or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Preferred experience with UFP Industries' organization, culture, and product lines.

Responsibilities

• Formulates long and short-range business plans and goals.
• Develops production schedules and coordinates with other areas.
• Ensures assets are properly managed and safeguarded.
• Staffs operations to meet production levels and cost objectives.
• Ensures employees are properly trained and supervised.
• Coaches and develops subordinates and initiates corrective action as needed.
• Monitors efficiency standards and initiates improvements.
• Oversees inventory management and month-end inventory processes.
• Maintains machinery and orders supplies and timecards as needed.
• Prepares reports and participates in OSHA and safety compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relating discipline
