Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 5–8 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of supervisors and staff to meet customer orders at the lowest cost while maintaining safety and quality.
• Analyze operations and metrics to improve quality, safety, and efficiency; contain costs.
• Ensure SOPs are developed and maintained for all activities.
• Report deficiencies to plant leadership and resolve operational issues.
• Assist in development and implementation of safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; interpret when necessary.
• Conduct department management meetings to communicate policies and plans.
• Prepare for plant inspections and participate with appropriate staff.
• Monitor inventories and authorize purchases as appropriate.
• Prepare reports and records for management review.
• Manage assigned employees, including recruitment, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management; administer discipline.
