Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking an experienced operations leader to manage production activities and supervise supervisors and staff.

You will direct daily operations with emphasis on safety, quality, and cost control while ensuring adherence to GMPs and company policies. Responsibilities include staffing, training, and performance management as well as coordinating with plant leadership on objectives and improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree in related curriculum preferred.
• 5 to 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities of supervisors and staff to meet orders at lowest cost while maintaining safety and quality.
• Analyze operations and metrics to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all activities.
• Communicate policies and problems to plant leadership; resolve issues.
• Lead safety program development and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Recruit, supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff; administer discipline as needed.
• Prepare management reports and oversee inventory and purchases.
