Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Millen, GA is seeking an OpEx Coordinator to drive plant-level continuous improvement. You will lead OpEx initiatives, train team members in best practices, and track performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory.

The role requires hands-on Lean Six Sigma experience, collaboration with leadership, and a willingness to travel for training as needed. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years manufacturing, building industry or production experience.
• Basic computer skills to use Microsoft Office tools.
• Able to communicate and train plant employees on OPEX training tools in MS Teams.
• Engaged and willing to learn new concepts and stay open to different opinions.
• Hands-on experience with Operational Excellence and continuous improvement methods.
• Ability to lead, coach and implement improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant OpEx efforts in implementing and following the plant's OpEx strategy.
• Develop and execute a training plan for associates, supervisors, and managers.
• Data collection, validation, performance tracking, and reporting using spreadsheets.
• Lead Kaizen events and root-cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with OpEx team and management to maintain progress and reporting.
• Ensure proper setup of equipment and utilization of OpEx tools.
• Attend regular OpEx calls and follow through with action items.
