Job summary

Plum Point Energy Station, operated by NRG Energy, in Osceola, AR, seeks a Plant Operator to monitor plant systems and equipment around the clock. You will ensure safe, efficient operation and maintain detailed logs and reports.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, performing start-up/shutdowns, and participating in routine maintenance while coordinating with shift personnel and technicians to meet generation targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating plant equipment and following safety procedures.
• Ability to read logs, manuals, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and execute start-up/shutdown procedures.
• Maintain generation output safely and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment at peak performance.
• Record readings, logs, and reports accurately.
• Participate in preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance.
• Assist with plant cleanup and housekeeping.
• Communicate status to supervision and teammates.
